What would make the perfect drummer?  I think a drummer can never fully play every style and that different drummers are right for different situations.  Ringo Star added something irreplaceable in the Beatles, and Keith Moon brought The Who to a whole new level of musical fruition.

Five and Seven stroke rolls as outlines in the AMEB Drum Kit Syllabus, is a fantastic way to get these rudiments into a more musical and fluent tone.  With proficiency in getting the double rudiments going, you can expect to make some interesting sounds and fills, grooves...  www.westlondon-drumtutor.com

As a dancer finds their feet and anticipates the next move, so does a drummer with hands and sticks.  Triplets are truly difficult for the beginner drummer to fathom as it involves two hands doing things in lots of three, or - triplets.  The solution is to practice slow and find a way to spark a natural sense for where your sticks are at.  Clumsiness is horrible in drumming!  www.westlondon-drumtutor.com

Recently I was asked if a child as young a four could learn to play drums; I said yes and that I already have a four year old, a six year old and a little guy aged seven.  Everyone learns differently and as a private tutor, I enjoy engeneering a way to understand how my students understand and to teach them in the best way.  www.westlondon-drumtutor.com

Triplets and sixlets are best applied in any musical setting where as either ghosts notes or dynamic crescendo type fills, they make a musical moment quite textured and intricate.  A drummer needs to always feel, and practice which hand the triplet ends with, as playing threes with two hands can be a problem for some students.  www.westlondon-drumtutor.com
